Benidorm receives the ICTE Q Award after becoming the first certified DTI in the world

Benidorm received on January 24, 2019 the Q Prize awarded annually by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE). An award that comes just a month after the city has become the world's first Smart Tourist Destination (DTI) certified. It took place in the 'Night Q' organized by the ICTE in the Crystal Gallery of the Palacio de Cibeles.

With this Q 2019 Award, the jury has recognized the "bet" of Benidorm "for maintaining the tourism leadership from the application of policies and management models with quality as the central axis". In addition, it has highlighted the fact that Benidorm has managed to be the first destination to achieve certification as an intelligent destination, which, added to its three certified beaches, its tourist office and its establishments with the Q Mark, have converted this city in a world reference of tourist quality.

In addition to Benidorm City Council, ICTE has also recognized in this edition of the Post Office Q Awards and the Government of Valle del Cauca of Colombia.
