The 40th Cross El Calvari will be the protagonist of a new running event this weekend

Benidorm continues thisunday 2019 running season, after Vueling Benidorm Half race and I Cross Doble amor, The city will celebrate one of the oldest race in Valencian community, named Cross El Calvari. This year is going to be calebrate the 40th edition. It is organized by Sports city council, Fiesta el Calvari, Athletics club Benidorm, and Brotons Group.

The race will be on sunday, march 10 and it is having two categories: chilldrens and adults. absolute category is going to be at 10:00 h, and the other ones will run at 11:30h.

It has been explained te race has three distances. One of them it is 8000 meters, and will be on two laps with a circuit crossing Calvari neighborhood and surrounding streets. In this order, the race will have start and finish in Martinez Alejos street, then it will pass trought Alacoy street, Europa, Mediterráneo, Catellón, Madrid, Alcoy, Virgen del Sufragio, Canalejas, The last one will be 650 meters in Benjamin category.

The event has been remarked that is a circuit and distances accessible to amateur racers, thar are initializing in running competitions, as well is important that every running racer has to been competed in this significant race.

The inscriptions can be realized until thursday at 23:59h by the web site, as well, the race day, they will admit inscriptions in each category.

In addition, there will be surrendered Diego Cano Enguera award, it is delivered annually to an outstanding athlete. The award is going to condecorate to Miguel Bou Bernabeu and Jaime Pérez Llorens is going to recieve the Llugueret for his devotion to the Patron Saint's Major Festivals in which he participates every year as a torch singer.
