Benidorm strengthens beach services for the high season

From 1 June, Benidorm’s beaches increase lifeguard, cleaning, accessibility, beach library and floating platform services to offer a comfortable and safe summer experience.

Benidorm strengthens beach services for the high season

Benidorm begins the high beach season with a full reinforcement of services, which will remain in place until 30 September. During the summer months, more than 200 people will work in different shifts to support visitors and residents on the beaches of Levante, Poniente, Mal Pas, Ti Ximo and l’Almadrava.

The lifeguard and rescue service extends its opening hours to cover the busiest times of the day. In June, it will operate from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, while in July, August and September it will run from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. The service includes lifeguards stationed along the coastline, first aid posts, ambulances, land-based surveillance and a rescue boat for sea interventions.

Benidorm’s accessible beaches will also offer enhanced assistance. The assisted bathing points at Levante, Parque de Elche and La Cala will have dedicated staff and extended opening hours from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, helping people with reduced mobility enjoy the sea more easily.

Beach cleaning will be intensified with at least 24 workers, manual cleaning shifts in the morning and at night, and mechanical cleaning with tractors and sand-sifting machines. During the high season, sea cleaning will also be carried out with a specialised boat.

The summer services also include the beach libraries, available in Levante and Poniente from Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and the free floating platforms in Levante and Poniente, open from 15 June to 1 September, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.

With this summer operation, Benidorm strengthens the comfort, safety, accessibility and quality of its beaches, one of the city’s main tourist attractions.
