Benidorm has a new place to enjoy art outdoors: the Espai d’Art Urbà Tamarindos, located on Paseo de Tamarindos in the La Cala area. This new exhibition space joins the city’s network of Espais d’Art, offering residents and tourists an accessible and enjoyable way to discover local creativity while strolling through Benidorm.
The Espai d’Art Urbà Tamarindos features seven backlit display panels currently showcasing part of “Benidorm, Somni Vertical”, an exhibition by artist María José Lozano. The project combines art, fashion and the iconic high-rise architecture that defines Benidorm’s skyline, turning the city’s skyscrapers into the main inspiration for a striking visual experience.
Each image includes a QR code with information in Spanish, Valencian and English, allowing visitors to learn more about the photograph, the exhibition series and the art space they are visiting. The codes also link to a website with a map to help visitors choose the best route to explore Benidorm’s different Espais d’Art.
The full exhibition, launched in May, consists of 57 photographs displayed across the city’s art spaces and will remain available until the end of the summer. It is an ideal opportunity to discover Benidorm from a different perspective, enjoying its urban landscape, architecture and open-air cultural offer.
