Costa Blanca Cup to Bring Young Footballers from 34 Countries and 319 Teams to Benidorm

Benidorm will once again be one of the main host cities for the Costa Blanca Cup 2026, the international youth football tournament taking place from 1 to 11 July and bringing together young footballers from 34 countries and a total of 319 teams.

The event will once again feature two competitions: the international football tournament and the futsal championship, both in youth categories. This year’s edition has once again exceeded participation figures, consolidating the Costa Blanca Cup as one of the leading youth football events on the national and international calendar.

The futsal competition will take place from 1 to 5 July and will feature 113 teams from 9 countries. This category will include 56 Spanish teams and 57 international teams, with participants from countries such as France, Australia, Venezuela, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, England and Ireland.

The football tournament will begin with the arrival of teams on 5 July and will run through to the finals on 11 July. A total of 206 teams from 25 countries will take part, with international teams outnumbering Spanish ones: 117 foreign teams compared to 89 national teams. Participating countries include Brazil, the United States, Canada, Chile, France, Morocco, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland, Türkiye, Uruguay and Uganda, among others.

The Costa Blanca Cup also maintains its charitable dimension through the participation of children from Uganda, thanks to the collaboration with a social organisation that works with minors in vulnerable situations. Their presence will allow them to share sporting, cultural and educational experiences with participants from other countries.

Benidorm will be the main host city for the tournament, which will also include matches in other municipalities of the Marina Baixa and Marina Alta, such as La Vila Joiosa, Altea, l’Alfàs del Pi, La Nucía, Finestrat and Calp.

The tournament is based on four main pillars: sporting competition, international participation, the promotion of sports tourism and the experience of bringing together young people from different cultures. Over these days, the city will welcome thousands of players, coaching staff and families, reinforcing Benidorm’s role as a destination linked to sport, coexistence and major international events.
