Mundomar's Foundation welcomes the Rett Princesses

For more than 20 years Mundomar's Foundation has been developing a unique therapy with its family of dolphins.

Dolphin therapy is carried out with children from all over the world with very different pathologies such as Down's Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Autism or Rett Syndrome.

Prestigious studies carried out by different universities endorse the positive impact of this dolphin therapy, as it improves the cognitive skills of children such as concentration and perception of their environment, as well as improving their social relations with their immediate reality.

Every year, more than a hundred children from all over the world come for this exceptional therapy, as Mundomar’s Foundation is the only one in the world that carries out this activity altruistically for families.

Mi Princesa Rett Association (with which Mundomar’s Foundation established a collaboration agreement in 2014) has come to Benidorm’s nature park to enjoy a week of dolphin therapy and in this way, support their remarkable project.

Rett syndrome is a pathology classified as rare and about which much remains to be known. It only affects females and is characterised by the progressive loss of motor and speech skills.

Research and awareness-raising work in this respect is essential. To date, more than 6,000 children from all over the world have taken part in this therapy set up by Mundomar, which is an experience not only for the children, but also for their families.
