The International Cycling Union (UCI) has announced the calendar for the next edition of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup, Benidorm CX, and for the fourth consecutive year Benidorm will host one of the stages of this championship.
Specifically, on the 18th of January 2026, the city will host the most prestigious tournament in this winter cycling speciality, a privileged date in the calendar because it will be a decisive test for the outcome of the UCI Cyclocross World Cup, which will favour the presence of the best specialists in the scene.
The first edition of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup - Benidorm Costa Blanca was held on 22 January. Since then, this sporting event has become a real party. Not for nothing, the last edition brought together 16,000 fans from all over Spain and Europe to witness some intense and exciting races, with Thibau Nys and Fem van Empel winning the Elite Men's and Women's categories, respectively.
Likewise, the massive influx of spectators and participants filled the streets of Benidorm throughout the week.
With this confirmation from the International Cycling Union, Benidorm is now beginning to make every effort to ensure that this fourth edition is as successful as the previous ones.
As well as being a great sporting event, this race is also a great promotional event for the city and a great attraction for visitors during the festive period, especially from Central European countries and the United Kingdom.
The World Cyclo-cross Championships reflect a great commitment to an important sector of tourism, such as sports tourism, through an event of the highest level and with a strong international character, bearing in mind that what we have experienced in the three editions held so far in Benidorm has also been tangible proof that our city is a first-class enclave for holding this type of event with all the guarantees.
