9th Edition Skyline Benidorm Film Festival

The 9th edition of the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival will take place from 29 March to 5 April.

The festival has received 810 short films, beating last year's record of 200 'shorts'.  In parallel with this record, this year the festival has added an international section and increased the prize money in the official national section to 1,000 euros. In addition, the selection fee, which has been in place since the Festival's inception, will be maintained in recognition of the effort and creativity of the filmmakers.

Submissions for the Screenplay Competition are open until 10 January and for the Short Pitch Competition until 10 February.

Carlos Corredera signs the image and poster of this new edition of the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival.

The poster "perfectly symbolises the essence of this festival, which combines cinema, creativity and the unique identity of our city". The protagonist of the image is a woman flying over the skies and skyline of Benidorm, "inspired by the figure of Mary Poppins, but with a more adult touch" and with "a pop and magical finish".
