Benidorm welcomed the 14th edition of the San Silvestre Christmas Run, a festive and sporting event that gathered 800 participants across three different competitions.
The day began just before 10:00 a.m. with a 4-kilometer Christmas Walk. Shortly after, at 10:00 a.m., the main San Silvestre race started, covering a scenic 6-kilometer route along the Poniente Promenade. Around midday, the event concluded with the children's races, spreading joy among the youngest participants.
In addition to the races, the traditional costume contest added a playful element to the event, with participants dressed as Santa Claus, elves, and even nativity characters such as Joseph, Mary, and Baby Jesus.
To encourage young athletes, participants under the age of 13 enjoyed free registration, promoting greater family involvement.
The day ended with the distribution of trophies to winners in various categories, handed out by local authorities.
