Serra Gelada Natural Park is one of the most valuable ecosystems on the Mediterranean coast.
Declared a natural park in March 2005, this protected area extends both on land and at sea, featuring cliffs over 300 metres high, offering spectacular views and hiking trails.

🔹 Highlighted trails: Cliffs Trail, Albir Lighthouse, and Punta del Cavall.
Additionally, Serra Gelada is also a magnificent vantage point to admire the surrounding landscape, including Puig Campana, Aitana, and Bèrnia, as described by Art History professor at the University of Valencia, Josep Montesinos.

Several archaeological sites and remnants of fishing activities dating back to the Neolithic period have been discovered, though many have disappeared due to modern constructions.
Serra Gelada was an important passage for Mediterranean civilisations and a trading point for goods. It also features watchtowers built for protection against piracy, such as Seguró, La Bombarda, l’Aguilló at Tossal de la Cala in Benidorm, and Xarco in La Vila.
