🗓 From 2 November until January
📍 Museu Boca del Calvari (C/ Tomás Ortuño, 61 – Benidorm)
The Museu Boca del Calvari hosts the exhibition “Del bosque a las estrellas” (“From the Forest to the Stars”), a dual showcase by photographer José Luis Carrillo that brings together two of his most acclaimed projects: “The Children of the Deer” and “Spanish Files”.
🌲 The Children of the Deer portrays life in the Alto Tajo Valley —one of the most sparsely populated areas in Europe— where echoes of an ancestral Celtic cosmogony still endure. This series, awarded by the Juan Gil-Albert Institute of Culture, offers a poetic and anthropological look at the relationship between humans and nature.
🌌 Spanish Files explores the UFO phenomenon in Spain through photographs, documents, and investigations that reflect humanity’s enduring need to believe in the unknown. Produced by the Andalusian Centre of Photography, the exhibition features 50 images and a unique archive of original materials.
Together, the two series form a journey between earth and sky, the ancestral and the cosmic, inviting visitors to reflect on how humankind shapes its bond with reality and mystery.
🎟 Free admission | Open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
An opportunity to discover the work of José Luis Carrillo and immerse yourself in a visual journey that unites nature, myth, and the universe.
