Benidorm’s Beaches Renew the ‘Q’ Quality and ‘S’ Sustainability Flags

The iconic beaches of Benidorm have renewed this year the ‘Q’ Quality Tourism flag and the ‘S’ Sustainability flag, along with the ‘Safe Tourism Certified’ certification. These prestigious distinctions were handed over yesterday in Madrid by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rosario Sánchez, and the president of ICTE, Miguel Mirones, to the Councillor for Beaches, Mónica Gómez.

During the ceremony, the councillor highlighted that Benidorm’s urban beaches, such as Levante, Poniente, and Mal Pas, continue to maintain their presence in the world’s top 5, thanks to these certifications that support their quality and excellence. “These distinctions reflect the constant effort to offer beaches in perfect condition throughout the year, with first-class services and the best user experience,” Gómez stated.

To obtain these certifications, the beaches have passed rigorous audits carried out by ICTE, evaluating aspects such as water and sand cleanliness, hygiene conditions, safety protocols, services offered, and accessibility.

This achievement adds to the multiple quality certifications already held by Benidorm’s beaches, solidifying the city as a benchmark tourist destination for its commitment to continuous improvement and sustainable management.
