The Municipal Conservatory of Music, located at the Cultural Centre, hosts the 36th edition of the Benidorm International Music Course, running until this Friday, July 4.
A total of 70 active participants and 20 auditors, selected from over 150 applications, are honing their skills in 🎷 saxophone, 🎹 piano, 🎼 oboe, 🎻 violin, 🥁 marimba and 🎶 clarinet, under the guidance of world-class instructors such as Mariano García, Ángel Sanzo, José Luis García Vegara, Miguel Colom, Conrado Moya and François Brenda.
Every evening, the public is invited to enjoy free concerts as part of the “Classics at 9” series, starting at 9:00 pm at the Cultural Centre Auditorium.
Tonight’s highlight is a marimba concert by Conrado Moya and Katarzyna Mycka.
On Friday, July 4, the week concludes with the final of the 26th International Music Competition, focused this year on the oboe, with string trio La Stravaganza.
Each concert is preceded by “Musical Aperitifs” – short performances by the course students, starting 30 minutes earlier.
