Benidorm strengthens animal protection with €50,000 agreement

Benidorm has renewed its agreement with the Marina Baixa Animal Protection Society, ensuring the care and shelter of abandoned pets in the city.

The deal includes a municipal contribution of €50,000 to cover collection, maintenance, and veterinary care costs. This partnership guarantees animal welfare and promotes responsible adoption.

The shelter also runs awareness campaigns and supports people who, for personal reasons, can no longer care for their pets. It is also reminded that animal abandonment is considered a very serious offence, with fines of up to €900.
