Benidorm Works on Forest Area in El Murtal to Prevent Fires

The intervention covers 10,000 m² of woodland, mainly pine trees, located next to residential areas

Benidorm is carrying out forestry maintenance and cleaning work on a 10,000-square-metre plot located on Avenida Murtal, near Avenida Marina Baixa. The main aim is to prevent potential wildfires in this densely wooded area, which is very close to residential buildings.

The work includes pruning damaged branches, thinning dense areas, and removing dry vegetation from the ground. These efforts help reduce the risk of fire while also improving the shaded areas so that residents and visitors can enjoy the natural environment in better conditions.

This initiative is part of Benidorm’s ongoing commitment to maintaining its parks and green spaces, enhancing safety while offering pleasant places to walk, relax, and find shelter from the summer heat.
