The city hosts competitions across a wide range of disciplines—from athletics and youth football to cyclo-cross—backed by modern facilities, an outstanding natural setting and the logistics to welcome participants from around the world.

UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup Benidorm

Benidorm is part of the official Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) calendar with this top-tier event, which has firmly placed the city on the international cyclo-cross map.

• 📍 Location: A purpose-built circuit running through El Moralet and Foietes parks.

• 📏 Distance: Approx. 3.2km, with technical sections including dirt, sand, stair runs and bridges.

• 👥 Spectators: Over 15,000 in the January 2025 edition.

• 🏆 Athletes: The world’s elite cyclo-cross riders.

• 🗓️ Next edition: 18 January 2026.

The race is complemented by VIP areas, fan zones, live DJs, family-friendly activities and food stalls—delivering a full sporting experience for both fans and competitors.

Benidorm Half

Held every November, the Benidorm Half Marathon is one of the most popular running events on the Mediterranean coast.

• 👟 Distances: 10K and 21K.

• 🌅 Route: Along Levante and Poniente seafront promenades, witch scenis run trough the old town.

• 👥 Participation: Over 6,000 runners form all over the world.

• 🗓️ Next edition: 22 November 2025.

With its festive atmosphere, live music and the enthusiastic support of locals, this event is much more than a race—it’s a true celebration of outdoor sport, complete with side activities and family initiatives.

Costa Blanca Cup

Every July, Benidorm becomes the epicentre of international youth football with the Costa Blanca Cup, a tournament renowned for its development focus and multicultural spirit.

• 🌍 Teams: More than 300, representing 25 countries.

• 👥 Attendees: Over 5,000 participants, including players, coaches, and families.

• 🏟️ Venues: Across multiple sports facilities in Benidorm and nearby towns.

Beyond the competition, the tournament promotes values such as respect, teamwork and cultural exchange. The opening ceremony, social activities and international atmosphere make this event an unforgettable experience for children, young athletes and their families.
