Benidorm has launched the process to remodel Plaza Ciudad de Manizales, aiming to fix water leaks into the underground car park and create a fully renovated, accessible, and pedestrian-friendly square.
The project focuses on two key areas: structural repairs to the underground parking, which has been damaged by years of water leaks from the surface planters, and a complete overhaul of the plaza. Current elements like planters, steps, and playground equipment will be removed to create a more open and walkable space.
The future square will promote strolling, social interaction, and urban life, with a strong emphasis on universal accessibility and the removal of architectural barriers. Prior to construction, technical studies will help determine the best solutions for ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
