Festa de la Solidaritat: Blood Donation Day at Casa del Fester

An opportunity to save lives in Benidorm with the support of local peñas

Today, Benidorm’s Casa del Fester hosts a new edition of the ‘Festa de la Solidaritat’, a community blood donation drive promoted by the Associació de Penyes Verge del Sofratge, in collaboration with the local Blood Transfusion Centre.

Everyone is welcome to participate in this altruistic initiative, which takes place today in two time slots: from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM and 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The aim is to encourage both peña members and local residents or tourists to contribute to increasing the blood reserves that are essential for hospitals throughout the region.

Participants must be between 18 and 65 years old, weigh over 50 kg, be in good health, well-hydrated, and bring a valid ID or driver’s license. After donating, volunteers will receive drinks and snacks to help them recover.

With each blood donation potentially saving up to three lives, this event not only fosters solidarity but also offers first-time donors a chance to make a long-term impact.
