Benidorm moves forward toward a more sustainable and climate-friendly city

Benidorm has given initial approval to the Urban Heat Island Effect Study, a technical report that will identify the areas most affected by rising temperatures in the city. The study aims to guide future actions in sustainable urban planning and improve climate comfort. It is part of the 'Benidorm Visión 360' Sustainable Tourism Plan and will be open for public consultation for one month.

To support local commerce, the City Council has also approved a new holiday voucher campaign worth 1.8 million euros, offering discounts to over 70,000 registered residents.

Other measures include the city’s incorporation into the Agente Tutor program, focused on improving local police services in school environments, and updates to the municipal staffing plan to better meet current service needs.
