Skyline Benidorm Film Festival opens registration for its 2026 Short‑Film Script Contest in the 10th edition

The Skyline Benidorm Film Festival celebrates its 10th edition by opening the call for entries to its 2026 Short-Film Script Contest. From November 17, 2025 to January 19, 2026, both emerging and professional screenwriters are invited to participate by submitting original scripts for short films of fiction, animation, or documentary. Scripts must be written in Spanish or Valencian and may not exceed 20 pages.

Each participant may submit up to three different scripts, and registration remains accessible with the aim of fostering broad participation. The contest awards a Best Script prize of €1,500 and the festival’s official trophy. In addition, selected finalist scripts may be published temporarily on the festival's website, provided authors give their consent.

This contest was first launched in 2018 during the second edition of the festival and has since grown significantly. From just 38 submissions in its debut year, the contest attracted 492 scripts in 2025, confirming its status as a key creative showcase within the festival.

The Skyline Benidorm Film Festival will take place from April 18 to April 25, 2026. During these days, Benidorm will once again become a vibrant meeting point for cinema lovers, offering an ideal opportunity for visitors to enjoy the city’s cultural atmosphere alongside its beaches and lively charm.
