Benidorm has officially opened the doors of BeCiti, a new hub dedicated to smart tourism innovation. Located in the emblematic Torrejó building, BeCiti is designed as a collaborative space for startups, companies, institutions, and citizens to co-create technological solutions that make tourism more competitive, sustainable, and intelligent.
With around 20 partners already on board, BeCiti will serve as a testing ground for pioneering projects in areas such as digital transformation, water management, and data-driven tourism strategies. Among its first challenges is optimizing water usage in hotels—a benchmark model that has already earned Benidorm global recognition for efficient water management.
Aligned with national initiatives like Spain's Plataforma Inteligente de Destinos and the Plataforma de Innovación Abierta, BeCiti strengthens Benidorm’s leadership as a Smart Tourist Destination, inviting both local and global innovators to participate in shaping the future of tourism.
