Benidorm is getting ready to celebrate a new edition of Festa La Creu 2026, a special event that combines tradition, community spirit and local culture in one of the city’s most distinctive areas. Over several days, residents and visitors can enjoy a festive programme open to everyone—ideal for discovering authentic Benidorm traditions.
The celebrations begin on Thursday 30 April at 10:00 pm in Plaza de la Cruz with the traditional Vestida de la Creu, accompanied by festive music and a warm local atmosphere. Visitors will also be able to taste typical local treats including mistela and coca roñosa.
On Friday 1 May, the day starts early with street parades and bell ringing. At 10:45 am, the main gathering and pilgrimage to the Cross will take place, one of the most symbolic moments of the festival. Afterwards, the programme continues with a floral offering and a mass at San Jaime and Santa Ana Church.
Later in the day, at 7:00 pm, music takes centre stage with a concert by the Youth Band of S.M. La Nova de Benidorm at the Town Hall Assembly Hall.
The festival concludes on Sunday 3 May at 7:00 pm with a commemorative mass at San Jaime and Santa Ana Church.
Festa La Creu is a wonderful opportunity to experience the most authentic side of Benidorm, enjoy its friendly neighbourhood atmosphere and take part in celebrations full of history and emotion.
