Festivities in Honour of Saint James the Apostle 2026

Benidorm celebrates the traditional Festivities in Honour of Saint James the Apostle, the city's patron saint, with a programme of religious, cultural and festive events in the Old Town.

📅 Sunday, 12 July

🕘 9:00 p.m. – Commemorative concert in honour of Saint James, performed by the ACR La Barqueta Rondalla at the Church of Saint James and Saint Anne.

📅 Friday, 24 July

🕗 8:00 p.m. – Traditional open-air dance celebrating the eve of Saint James, with music and dancing for all ages.

🕘 9:00 p.m. – Gala dinner in honour of Saint James the Apostle at the Mediterranean Viewpoint.

📅 Saturday, 25 July

🕦 11:30 a.m. – Parade from Casa del Fester to the Church of Saint James and Saint Anne.

🕛 12:00 p.m. – Bell ringing and a daytime fireworks display in Plaza de la Señoría by Pirotecnia del Mediterráneo.

🕡 6:30 p.m. – Gathering at Casa del Fester to begin the parade with the Ladies and Queens of the Patron Saint Festivities, the Fiesta Commission, honorary members, the Peñas Association and local authorities.

🕡 6:45 p.m. – Collection of the image of Saint James from the headquarters of ACR La Barqueta to accompany the parade.

🕖 7:15 p.m. – Presentation of the official poster for Benidorm's Patron Saint Festivities in Plaza del Torrejó.

🕗 8:00 p.m. – Appointment of the new Standard Bearer, the Union Musical de Benidorm representative and the Honorary Mayorales.

🕣 8:30 p.m. – Solemn Mass in honour of Saint James the Apostle at the Church of Saint James and Saint Anne.

After the Mass:

• Performance of the traditional Ball del Peuet in Plaza de San Jaime.
• Fireworks display by Pirotecnia del Mediterráneo.
• Open-air dance in Plaza Castelar with live music by Orquesta Código.
