Benidorm closed 2025 with a remarkable tourism milestone: more than 3 million tourists and over 16.2 million overnight stays. These figures reflect a vibrant year for the destination, with an 8% increase in visitors and a 3.4% rise in overnight stays compared to 2024, pending final December data.
International tourism has been the main driver, contributing 67.7% of all overnight stays, with over 10.9 million, while the domestic market reached 5.2 million. Average hotel stays remained close to 5 days, and campsites exceeded 20 days, with a high 93.9% occupancy.
Tourist apartments also saw remarkable growth, with a 20.3% increase in overnight stays, totaling 2.56 million, and an average occupancy of 75.7% and stay of 5.5 days.
High satisfaction and growing employment
Overall tourist satisfaction reached 78.8%, improving on the previous year. Top-rated aspects include safety (95/100), climate (93.4/100), and hotel quality.
Local employment also improved, with a 9.41% unemployment rate, the lowest in the entire Valencian Community, alongside a rise in resident population and Social Security affiliates.
These achievements reinforce Benidorm’s position as one of Europe’s most dynamic and resilient tourist destinations, with positive outlooks for 2026.
