The Skyline Benidorm Film Festival returns from 18 to 25 April, transforming the city into a vibrant hub for Spanish cinema. One of the highlights of this tenth edition will be the tribute to Alicante-born actor Fele Martínez, who will receive the ‘Skyliner 2026’ Award in recognition of his outstanding career.
The Opening Gala will take place on 18 April at 7:00 pm at Benidorm Cultural Centre, with free admission upon prior ticket reservation. This event offers visitors a unique opportunity to enjoy a special evening dedicated to film in a cultural setting.
With a solid career across film, television and theatre, Fele Martínez is one of the most recognised faces in Spanish audiovisual production. He won the Goya Award for Best New Actor for Tesis and has worked with some of Spain’s most renowned directors, as well as starring in widely popular TV series.
He also has a strong connection to short films and to the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival itself, having participated in several editions both as an actor and director, supporting emerging talent and maintaining a close relationship with the festival.
The gala will close with the premiere of the short film Quemar al padre, directed by Rafa Piqueras, developed through the festival’s Shortpitch programme. The screening will include the حضور of the creative team, offering audiences an exclusive and engaging experience.
The Skyline Benidorm Film Festival is a must-attend event for visitors in April, combining screenings, industry activities and public events in a lively and creative atmosphere.
