The project, with an investment of around €510,000, will renew the surface of the square and improve the structure of the underground car park beneath it, solving the existing water leakage problems.
The works will include the full waterproofing of the square to prevent future leaks, the installation of high-quality paving in two colours, and the creation of stepped seating that can be used as a resting and meeting area.
The aim is to turn Plaza Ciudad de Manizales into a more open, walkable and accessible space, designed to encourage strolling, socialising and urban life in this area of Benidorm.
To ensure safety and prevent future water leakage, the square will remain free of elements fixed to the ground, meaning the existing children’s play area will not be replaced. Families can find other nearby playgrounds, such as those in Plaça de l’Infant and Foietes Park.
With this remodelling project, Benidorm continues to improve its public spaces, making them safer, more accessible and more enjoyable for both residents and visitors.
