The city received the award in the category Environmental Tourism Sustainability: Regenerative Tourism for its physical-digital platform Smart Cube, a tool that strengthens Benidorm’s position as a smart, sustainable destination focused on efficient resource management.
This recognition highlights Benidorm’s work in integrating digital solutions into tourism planning, supporting a more responsible, connected destination model that is better prepared to meet the needs of both visitors and residents.
During the congress, Benidorm also received the “Urban Digital Connectivity” certification after undergoing a specialised assessment of the city’s mobile and fixed connectivity. Benidorm achieved a rating of “very good connectivity”, a key factor in enhancing the digital experience of visitors during their stay.
