The Benidorm Musical Union, in partnership with the Department of Culture, has launched a competition to select the design for its official logo, which will be used in all events organized to celebrate the centenary of its establishment.
The councillor for culture highlights the importance of the competition as part of the activities leading up to the centenary celebration of the Musical Union, stating that the logo will represent the identity of all initiatives related to the centenary until July 3, 2026, when Benidorm's oldest cultural entity turns one hundred years old.
Regarding the competition, it is open to all adults, especially students of Design, Fine Arts, or Communication, as well as individual or group participants. It is emphasized that designs must be original and aim to reflect the values and history of the Musical Union on its anniversary. It was also announced that the call for submissions begins on March 1st and closes on June 15th, with the jury starting their deliberations to announce the winner at the July concert of the Musical Union. Proposals will be accepted via email at comissiocentenariumb@gmail.com, where the participant's identification details must be included.
The president of the UMB highlights that the prize will offer the winner not only public recognition but also a diploma, a trophy, a one-night stay in a hotel in Benidorm, and tickets for a spa for two, thanks to the support of various organizations.
