Benidorm Welcomes 'The Journey of Life', the Monumental Exhibition by Jiménez Deredia

Benidorm is proud to present the city's new cultural gem: the monumental exhibition "The Journey of Life," created by the renowned Costa Rican artist Jorge Enrique Jiménez Martínez, also known as Jiménez Deredia. This exhibition, opening its doors on Thursday, the 29th, is the result of a fruitful collaboration with the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, marking another milestone in Benidorm's already rich cultural offering.

Located on Poniente Promenade, "The Journey of Life" features six large-scale marble and bronze sculptures, named Dream, Twilight, Enchantment, Lullaby, Consciousness, and Shelter. Each piece has been carefully selected to encourage a dialogue between art and public space, reinforcing Benidorm's vision as an open-air museum where art is accessible to all.

Jiménez Deredia, with an impressive career that includes exhibitions in cities such as Florence, Rome, Mexico City, Miami, and Valencia, and the distinction of being the first Latin American sculptor with work in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, brings some of his magic to Benidorm. "The Journey of Life" not only promises to be a delight for art lovers but also an invitation to reflect on life itself through Deredia's unique lens.
