Benidorm continues to highlight its rich heritage with the installation of a new fully accessible interpretive panel, located along the Poniente Promenade, near the historic Les Fontanelles spring, one of the landmarks featured on the display.
📍 Where history meets the landscape
This new panel invites both residents and visitors to explore Benidorm from a different perspective, showcasing the most iconic natural, historical and cultural elements that define the city’s identity.
The panel highlights six key heritage sites in Benidorm:

🏝️ Benidorm Island – a natural symbol and a seafront landmark
🏰 El Castell – an old defensive fort and now one of the city’s most popular viewpoints
💧 Les Fontanelles – the historic spring near which the panel is installed
🏞️ Serra Gelada – a protected natural park and marine reserve of great ecological value
🛡️ Torre de Les Caletes – a coastal watchtower used to protect against pirate attacks
♿ Designed for everyone
This panel is 100% accessible, allowing people with reduced mobility or other functional diversity to enjoy the interpretive experience barrier-free. It is located on flat ground near the beach with easy access from the promenade.
