Beaches and coves

A sign of identity of Benidorm's sea front

Fine golden sand, transparent waters and beaches that are clean and well-kept throughout the year are the hallmarks of Benidorm's seafront.

At its northern end, there are two small coves of sand and rocks, Cala del Tio Ximo and Cala Almadrava, which are ideal for diving and for those who like to swim in solitude.

Behind them begins the lively promenade of the popular Levante beach, which, in addition to its full range of services, has the added attraction of a lively image all year round.

To the south of the port, the Poniente Beach competes with the previous one in terms of beauty and services, and both have in common the fact that, thanks to their orientation, they are bathed by the sun until sunset in winter and until after eight o'clock in summer. Between the two, in a stretch that corresponds to the old town and protected by the Cerro Canfali, is the small cove of Cala de Mal Pas and, opposite it, the Isla de Benidorm, a paradise for scuba diving enthusiasts.

Benidorm's beaches are renowned for the exceptional quality of their sand and water, characteristics that have been recognised with various national and international awards and certifications, such as three prestigious awards that accredit the quality and excellence of its beaches. These are the Q for Tourist Quality, the S for Sustainability and the Safe Tourism Certified.

In addition, there are 3 accessible beaches points where people with disabilities have the necessary facilities and assistance to access both the sandy areas and the water.

  1. Levante Beach, Murcia Street
  2. Poniente Beach, Mont Benidorm Avd.
  3. Poniente Beach, Elche Park

Further on, starts the bustling promenade of the popular and busy Levante beach which in addition to its many facilities on offer also has the added attraction of being lively throughout the year.
