La Nucía

La Nucía, with a population of around 18,970, is located in a valley of fruit trees, 8 kilometres north of Benidorm.

It is a sports town, and one of its most outstanding infrastructures is the Camilo Cano Sports Centre, which has a total of 66 sports facilities spread over 12 hectares, including the Camilo Cano Olympic Stadium.

As for the popular festivals that are celebrated:

  • Fiestas Mayores Patronales. These are held from 14 August in honour of the Virgen de la Asunción and San Roque.
  • Fiestas of San Rafael. Celebrated on the third Sunday in November.
  • Festivities of San Vicente Ferrer. Celebrated on the Monday after Easter Monday in the El Captivador Nature Reserve.
  • Charter celebrations. Held on 9 July.


Places to visit include the Favara fountain, the chapel of Sant Vicent Ferrer and the Auditorium de la Mediterrànea.
