Jo Lynn

Jo first came to Benidorm in 2002. She was running a newspaper called The Stage back in the UK where Benidorm Palace used to advertise, when she saw they were hiring people for a new show they were preparing, Jo rushed over to Benidorm and on the same day of her arrival she had the audition. She luckily got the part, but needed another job to live on until the show started, so she got one as a singer and dancer at the Wheeltapper & Sunters cabaret bar. That’s how she got into Benidorm’s entertainment circuit, and because she keeps on reinventing herself, she’s always got various shows that will keep her busy all year round, because each one of them fits a type of tourist.

Jo’s favourite part of being a singer in Benidorm, is that she never knows what’s going to happen next, and she finds it really exciting. Some shows that she's doing right now are a tribute to Madonna that she’s reinvented so it's the 80’s music brought to a modern scenario; or a tribute to Girls Aloud, which she put together 15 years ago and it still fills the venue every single night, thanks to all the well-known songs she and her colleagues sing and all the energy they put into each show. The first night the Girls Aloud tribute performed, the venue was so full that the bar manager even got into trouble with the owner because the waiters couldn’t get round to serve the drinks!
