Mark Anthony

Mark’s dad was a singer and his mum was a dancer, so he comes from an entertainment background and reckons he’s been singing his whole life. When he was young, he started singing acapella with a friend he went to school with, and created a group called The Extraordinaires, and they now sing all over the world, doing TV performances and putting on shows in Las Vegas every year.

He combines this group with performing practically every night in Benidorm in his two tribute shows, a tribute to The Drifters which started 14 years ago, and a tribute to Rat Pack that started 6 years ago. It was thanks to his friend Kojo that Mark first came over to Benidorm. They were putting together a group called The Soulistics, and once he got here he started getting into other shows and never left. He really likes the city because it gives many people the chance to sing and dedicate their life to it, but it still has very talented artists around.

For Mark, music plays a really important part in his life. He believes that no matter what you focus on, the lyrics, the beat or the song in general, it’s always something beautiful that works in many different ways, and can make you feel at peace. And he loves when he can see the audience is happy and enjoying themselves with the music he’s performing, it makes him feel like he’s done a great job.
