Mykal Moziah

Mykal was born in Jamaica and has always had a passion for music. When he moved with his family to the UK, he didn’t feel like it was the best place for him to pursue his music career, so he focused on finding a place where he could do music all year round. His partner used to travel back and forth to Spain, so he knew about the Costa Blanca area, and that’s how he found out about Benidorm. Mykal knew it was the right place for him, and he now believes that this city is the Las Vegas of Spain. He likes the city so much that he has even written a song about it called ‘Benidorm Town’, where he sings about what a great place it is.

When he first arrived in Benidorm he started doing shows with his original songs as well as performing some Bob Marley hits, but he soon realised that the way to get into the big venues was by becoming a tribute act. Once he was an established artist, he got invited to take part in different groups, being one of these a tribute show to UB40 that he does with the group Cujam, where they sing mainly songs from the famous English band, but also include some other famous reggae songs. His favourite part about his job is going on stage and seeing the audience interact with him, as well as watching how they’re having a good time thanks to his performance.
