Ricky Reed

Ricky has always been involved in music since he was young but he never took it too seriously. When he was 16 he started doing a sort of Buddy Holly tribute performing in different pubs and when he left school he sang in various rock bands, until he got a normal job for a while.

He then went back to music in his 20’s and joined a band called Gocha, which was quite big in Yorkshire, but everyone ended up going their separate ways. He stopped doing music for some time until a friend asked him to put together a set for his wedding anniversary, and they liked it so much they encouraged him to continue pursuing his career as a performer, so he took that advice and got back on the circuit of playing in different pubs all around Yorkshire and Blackpool.

He decided to move over to Benidorm 10 years ago, and although he knew it would be tough, he was determined to make it, and he surely did because he's now a part of many different shows. Many of the tribute acts he performs are alongside his colleague Jeff, and they always trying to make them different from the rest and accurate to the real artist’s music.

Ricky can reach very high notes while singing, therefore his tributes are unique around Benidorm because barely anyone can sing in such a high tone like he can. Ricky enjoys his job so much because it makes him laugh everyday, he says that if he didn’t enjoy himself he wouldn’t do it, and he feels like he gets paid for having fun.
