Benidorm opens this September a new outdoor sculpture exhibition. The monumental pieces from the 'My Secret Garden' series by Belgian artist Arne Quinze are already being installed on Paseo de Poniente, where they will remain until next May. Assembly work is scheduled to finish tomorrow.

'My Secret Garden' is made up of six very colorful sculptures, several meters high and wide, made of aluminum, which represent different aspects of evolution and appear light and fragile to the viewer. There are some pieces that the author himself will explain on September 15 during a guided tour of the exhibition that is open to all citizens and will take place from 7:30 p.m.

The pieces will be installed in the section of Paseo de Poniente closest to La Cala, from the intersection of Armada Española and Vicente Llorca Alós avenues to Puerto Rico avenue, where the great sculpture of the swans by the Taiwanese artist is located Hung Yi.

With this new exhibition, sculptures by three internationally renowned artists such as Hung Yi, Juan Mejica and Arne Quinze coexist on our Paseo de Poniente, consolidated as an open-air museum.

Few cities in the world can boast of having such a concentration of first-class sculptural art in less than a kilometer as the one that Benidorm now presents; a circumstance that confirms the great interest that our city arouses among artists and cultural promoters, who each day trust more in the potential of our urban fabric as an exhibition space.

The Paseo de Poniente or the Avenida Mediterráneo and its surroundings present a unique and avant-garde architecture and design that makes them truly attractive for exhibiting artistic creations, whether they are sculptures, photographs or installations.

It has been highlighted that 'My Secret Garden' is the second sculpture exhibition to come to Benidorm by the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, which has also recently collaborated with the Department of Historical and Cultural Heritage in the exhibition 'La Torres de la Alhambra', by the artist Cristóbal Gabarrón, which can be seen from mid-June to the end of January in Plaza de la Hispanidad, Calle Gambo and Avenida del Mediterráneo.
