The Sant Antoni Festival Committee has organised the second edition of its Potato Omelette Contest, a culinary event set to take place this Saturday, 25th May, at the Ermita de Sanç. This contest aims not only to raise funds for the Sant Antoni festivities held in January but also to celebrate one of the region's most traditional recipes. The Councillor for Festivities in Benidorm and the president of the Committee have expressed their hope for community participation, encouraging locals to showcase their culinary skills in making Spanish omelettes.
This year's competition will award the top three omelettes with prizes of 100, 75, and 50 euros, respectively. Participants must be over 18 years old and can enter with at least five servings and must include the following ingredients: egg, potato, salt, and optionally, onion. Additionally, any other ingredients deemed appropriate may be added. Registrations can be made individually or as a group.
You can get in touch by calling 632946186 or sending an email to santantonibenidorm@gmail.com.
Omelettes will be accepted from 12:30 to 13:30 on the day of the contest, and a detailed list of ingredients must be included.
Throughout the event, the head members of the Sant Antoni Committee will offer an array of snacks and drinks at reduced prices, while music from various DJs will set the atmosphere for the day.
